Second Week of School!

"Love is patient and kind; it does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

I hope you all had a good week! I figured today I would pick up where I left off last week by telling y'all more about school, especially since the other subjects started as well. So classes are only Mondays and Wednesdays so I am just going to do a brief overview of last Wednesday and this morning. So without further ado, let's get into it!

Last Wednesday: First I had study hall while Elisabeth was in class so that was SUPER boring. It was basically 2 hours of doing the little bit of homework I had (it only took like 15 min max) and waiting. The only subjects I had were math and science so I didn't even have an assigned book to read. Luckily I brought a library book and just read that (Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard) but I got bored of that after a while. Hopefully next Wednesday is better. After that I went to Reading and Writing and the seat were assigned the first day, so I sat with two girls named Hope and Kendall who were pretty nice. We didn't do much on the first day besides learning a little bit about everyone, how we are supposed to do homework, and a basic introduction of the curriculum. The teacher's name is Mrs. Wheeler and she's a dog lover/mom just like me which is really cool. Overall class was pretty good. Our first book is The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgeson Burnett, which I"m already familiar with, so it shouldn't be too hard. After reading and writing I headed to Pre-Algebra and class was pretty much the exact same as Monday. We turned in our homework, went over some stuff from it, learned some new things and took notes on it, did some in class problems, and received our assignments for next week.

This Morning: My first class on Mondays is always Pre-Algebra, so I went straight there. I sat down in the back of the class like always, and did the exact same thing as all the other days. Nothing new really happened, so I'll go on to the next thing. In between Pre- Algebra and my first history class I had study hall, so I headed there. First I did some science and reading and writing homework, and then did some math worksheets. I also talked to Ashlyn and met her sister Hannah and got to know them more which I enjoyed. I also ate lunch (ravioli and a peach). Then it was time for my first American History class. Our teacher Mrs. Phillips is super nice and she said today would mostly be a get to know you day. The first icebreaker we did was we received shakers (stuff in a black film canister) and shook them. Then we went around the room and tried to find someone with the same sound. Then we had to sit with them. My match was a girl named Angel who I assume is in the grade below me. We had to introduce our partners to the class after that so we talked for a little and she told me that she likes to ice skate and I told her that I like to bake. I also talked to Hope (a girl from my reading and writing) and Ashlyn and they said they both like to bake which is cool. Then we played a couple more different games. After that she explained how our homework is supposed to be done and assigned some stuff for us to do. After that, class ended a little early so we just talked outside until our parents arrived.

Overall, I enjoy school so far. I'm glad I was able to meet some people. That's pretty much it, so I hope you enjoyed it. Come back next week for more and I hope y'all have a great week! Bye!❤️

5 things you probably don't know about me

Brothers,  join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk  according to the example you have in us.  For  many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you  even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ.   Their end is destruction,  their god is their belly, and  they glory in their shame, with  minds set on earthly things.   But  our citizenship is in heaven, and  from it we  await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,     who will transform  our lowly body  to be like his glorious body,  by the power that enables him even  to subject all things to himself. Philippians 3:17-21 Once again, I'm so sorry for not blogging this past week. I was at D-Camp, which is a camp where my church and a bunch of our sister churches have a camp for middle-schoolers and we get to know each other and God more. The Bible verse above was actually the theme for it. Camp was super fun by the...

The Gum Lady

So, my friend mom Mrs. Stacia, has a lot if gum. She keeps it in a bag called the gum bag; (which led to her nickname) and these are the flavor in it. 1. Grapefruit melon 2. Mentos-tropical 3.
