Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us. For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. Philippians 3:17-21
Once again, I'm so sorry for not blogging this past week. I was at D-Camp, which is a camp where my church and a bunch of our sister churches have a camp for middle-schoolers and we get to know each other and God more. The Bible verse above was actually the theme for it. Camp was super fun by the way! A bunch of my friends road tripped with me because my dad was camp doctor so we got to spend some extra time together. Through camp, I learned a lot, laughed a lot, and ate a lot tbh. Shout out to my awesome counselor Hannah by the way! Thanks so much💕 Then a friend who came to camp from Colorado (she used to go to our church and her dad was the old youth pastor) got to stay at our house for a couple days while her dad was speaking at Impact (the high school camp) so we got to see her for an extra long time which I enjoyed a lot since we only see her once a year at camp. She left to go to her grandma's on Friday, and then left for Colorado on Sunday. The rest of the week was pretty boring. So that's what I've been up to! As you can tell from the title, today's post is another 5 things you probably don't know about me. I one similar to this a while back, but I'm running out of ideas so I figured I'd make another. If you have any ideas for me, feel free to comment below!
5 Things You Probably Don't Know About Me
- I'm a DC superhero geek! My dad is actually a pretty big superhero fan, so I grew up watching the cartoon Justice League and Young Justice with him. He also bought on of those DC hero encyclopedias so I remember I liked to read that too. I know that besides Wonder Woman , the movies haven't been great, but the shows are awesome! My favorite is between Legends of Tomorrow and the Flash but I recommend both of them.
- This one was in my last one but I thought it was worth mentioning again. My biggest fear is SUFFOCATION. I'm not afraid of death, but dying, especially slow and painfully is really scary. But suffocation is probable the scariest for me. Not sure why...
- I'm a picky reader. It's really hard for me to find a good book. The thing is, I'm also a super fast reader (e.g. I read the who Harry Potter series in under a month), which makes it even harder to find good books.
- I've taken baking classes before. A lot of people know that I bake, but not many people know that I've taken classes before. They definitely taught me more on the technical side of baking, but I'm not quite sure how much they helped but oh well.
- I don't eat red meat. I've never been a big meat fan, and then a read an article about the benefits of not eating it. Originally, I was a full on vegetarian, which lasted for about a month or so. Then I changed to being pollo pescatarian, which means I don't eat red meat. I guess I just figured it was healthy and I'm already on a streak. So that's been going on for about a little over a year and a half. I haven't noticed any significant change but I'm on a streak and I don't mind not eating it. Some people think I'm some weird religion or allergic, but this is just a decision I've made so who care what other people think.
That's it for today's post! I hope y'all enjoyed it. Have a great week and come back next week (yes I won't miss next Monday) for more!
