"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up." James 4:10
Hey guys! I hope you all had a great week. This past week I did some back to school shopping, reading, guitar, martial arts, and church stuff. Anyway, my week was pretty good. For today's topic, I'm going to talk about the books I have been reading. I only have a few but this is the only thing I could come up with so oh well.
- A Whole New World: A Twisted Tale by Liz Braswell- As you might of guessed, this book is based on Disney's Aladdin except there's a twist to make it more interesting and less cliche. In this book, Aladdin never gets the lamp (don't worry, it's not a spoiler, it's included in the summary of the book). I just read it on Friday and I thought it was pretty good.
- Reflection: A Twisted Tale by Elizabeth Lim- This one is similar to the Aladdin one but it is based on Disney's Mulan and the twist is that she has to travel to the underworld. This one was even better than the Aladdin one in my opinion. Anyway, both are good. Also, there are two more that I haven't read yet so I will not put them in this post.
- Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard- I actually haven't read this one yet but Elisabeth read it and she said it was pretty good. The little summary on the cover basically says that the world is divided into red bloods and silver bloods. The red bloods have to serve the silver bloods because the silver bloods have powers. But then a red blood girl realizes she has powers etc. It sounded good, so I am planning to read it soon.
That's all I have for today, sorry it's kinda short but I couldn't think of anything else. I hope y'all have a good last week or two before school!
