Second Week of School!

"Love is patient and kind; it does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 I hope you all had a good week! I figured today I would pick up where I left off last week by telling y'all more about school, especially since the other subjects started as well. So classes are only Mondays and Wednesdays so I am just going to do a brief overview of last Wednesday and this morning. So without further ado, let's get into it! Last Wednesday: First I had study hall while Elisabeth was in class so that was SUPER boring. It was basically 2 hours of doing the little bit of homework I had (it only took like 15 min max) and waiting. The only subjects I had were math and science so I didn't even have an assigned book to read. Luckily I br...

First Day Of School!

"So do not fear, for I am am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I with uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10 I hope you all had a great week! This past week was pretty good, it was a lot of preparation for today, the first day of school. This is my first year of going to somewhere for school in my whole life. I took Pre-Algebra and went to study hall. I was kinda nervous, but pretty excited.  I first went to Pre-Algebra. I met another girl named Abigail (so now I know 4 girls including myself my age who are named Abigail) and we walked in together. The class was set up with the teacher's desk at the front and then three small tables facing her on the right and the left. There were only 9 people and the tables are meant for two people each and the seats were assigned. Sadly, I ended up by myself in the very back on the left lol. But luckily, 8 of the 9 kids are girls, so I have a better chance of mak...

Books

"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up." James 4:10 Hey guys! I hope you all had a great week. This past week I did some back to school shopping, reading, guitar, martial arts, and church stuff. Anyway, my week was pretty good. For today's topic, I'm going to talk about the books I have been reading. I only have a few but this is the only thing I could come up with so oh well.  A Whole New World: A Twisted Tale by Liz Braswell- As you might of guessed, this book is based on Disney's Aladdin except there's a twist to make it more interesting and less cliche. In this book, Aladdin never gets the lamp (don't worry, it's not a spoiler, it's included in the summary of the book). I just read it on Friday and I thought it was pretty good. Reflection: A Twisted Tale by Elizabeth Lim- This one is similar to the Aladdin one but it is based on Disney's Mulan and the twist is that she has to travel to the underworld. This one...

beach!

the sunrise picture my Dad took this morning "From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!" Psalm 113:3 Hey guys! I hope y'all had a great week. I know I did. This past weekend we went to Surfside beach with our fellowship (6 families) and rented 12 bedroom beach house. I really enjoyed getting to know people better even though I've known most of them for almost my whole life. Here's a little bit of a schedule on what we did. Friday afternoon: We dropped Piper off at the pet sitter's house and then road tripped for an hour and a half. Everyone got there around 4 and unpacked. Some kids (including me) went to the beach with a couple of the parents and played for a couple hours before going in for dinner (tacos). We also went over some general house rules and who was on stewardship teams for each meal (a team of adults and kids who clean after each meal). Then we played some card games with whoever wanted to play. A ...
