Summer!

"For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline." 2 Timothy 1:7

Happy memorial day! Today I'm especially grateful for all of the people who lost their lives serving our country. Hope y'all had a great week. This past week has been pretty uneventful and boring because I finished school and piano for the summer. So far today I've watched Captain America: Civil War with my family, walked Piper, eaten breakfast and lunch, and read. This evening I am going to my parents' friend's house to swim and eat dinner. Today's topic is my summer plans! So I am just going to list them in chronological order and I hope you enjoy!

June 2: My birthday! I am going to have some friends from church over for a sleepover! (not Karis or Abby though)

June 11-15: Volunteering at our church's VBS (the theme is science)

June 24-29: Going on my first mission trip to New Orleans! I'm kinda nervous but super excited!

June 30: Krav Maga testing for second level... testing is 6 frickin' hours long and lots of burpees and punching and stuff so I'm super nervous about all of it.

Early July: Since my best friend Karis is out of town for my birthday, I'm going to have a joint birthday sleepover with our other best friend Abby (her birthday is July 1) and it's gonna be baking themed. (SOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED)

July 22-25: I'm going to church camp with all of my friends like last year and it's super fun!

August 3-6: Going on our 3rd annual trip to surfside (the beach) with our fellowship!

Late August: School starts and I'm not just homeschooling anymore... Elisabeth and I are doing a co-op at a church for some of our classes and I'm nervous but excited.

That's it. It seems like a lot but there are big gaps in between. You can tell I'm super excited for most of the stuff but unfortunately I'm going to miss a couple Monday posts:( Thanks for reading and comment below your plans for summer. Bye!🍉🌊😎

Vacation and Fasting

Well I finally got my blog onto my  Google account. But, (there's always a but) no access to any settings! My verse today is one of my Sunday school verses. "The LORD will fight for you, you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14 Well, I found some books that I like!(I am extremely picky so this is very good) I am reading the Harry Potter series! I am in the middle of the fourth book. We went on a cruise this past weekend! It was my first cruise, my first time out of the country, plus I got to go with friends! It was soooo fun! I was a short cruise, only Thursday afternoon till Monday morning. We went to Cozumel, Mexico. It was so cool! It was my first time going to a beach with blue water and it was amazing! Of course, it can't all be perfect. James did not want to be in either family picture. I fell of the inflatable water park and salty water went gushing up my nose.(Luckily, I had a life jacket) Elisabeth got super motion sick after being in the waves a lot com...
Hi! It's me Abigail again. When I grow up I might be an author. I'm writing a book called Penelope's adventures at dragon valley. Here's a sneak peek at the first chapter.                                               Chapter 1 Penelope the unicorn loved to explore. One day she wanted to explore Dragon Valley.  Everybody feared Dragon valley. She asked, "Does whoever goes to Dragon Valley never come back?" Nobody knew. Penelope galloped out to Dragon Valley. At the same time in Dragon Valley a new born dragon was born. Now dragons grow up really fast. The newborn dragon was  named Judas. Penelope was sure Dragon Valley would be great, but it wasn't at all.  The place where the unicorns lived was magic, and Dragon Valley was terrible.  Unicorns had huge mansions, and each unicorn family got their own. Judas loved fighting with his most strange power:...

Delicious Breakfast Idea

Bible verse (sorry I've been forgetting to do these): "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 If you follow me on Instagram I had a really delicious looking breakfast that I posted a picture of. Here's how I made it. I'll post a picture and comment what you would name it! My _______________ (to be named recipe) Ingredients: Some left over sweet potatoes (I used about a cup I think) [I think we usually eat about 6 peeled, cubed, and tossed with 2 tablespoons of oil and half a teaspoon of salt. Then bake it for 25 minutes at 400 degrees] A quarter of a red bell pepper, sliced The finished product Bacon (I used turkey bacon) Cilantro (optional) An egg white or an egg A pinch of salt A little pepper (optional) Cook the bacon then tear or slice it up(I fried it on a pan but you could also bake it) Oil the pan (I had the heat on medium) Make the egg then put it as...
